The homework (original title: La tarea ) is a comedy film by the Mexican film director Jaime Humberto Hermosillo from 1991. The film student Virginia, played by María Rojo , films as homework with a hidden camera a meeting with Marcelo (played by José Alonso ) comes to sex, whereby it turns out in the end that both are a married couple who just played this role-play. The film was shot from the hidden camera position in just one take.

action

The film student Virginia has a term paper to do for her studies. She invites her ex-boyfriend Marcelo to record her attempts to seduce him with a camera hidden under the table. The following shows how the two get closer and distance each other again, and how it all comes down to the sexual act, until the camera is discovered around the middle of the film. As a result, it is no longer clear whether it is really a film project or the daily life of the characters, until it becomes clear that Virginia and Marcelo are actually the married couple María and Pepe and only wanted to enrich their sex life with this role-play . This truth becomes clear when, towards the end of the film, her sons come home from school and knock on the door and María and Pepe quickly get dressed again to hide their actions from the children.

background

The film The Homework was produced by the Clasa Films Mundiales studio. The film was shot in only one take, for a long time the viewer only sees the characters' legs and hears the dialogues because the camera was positioned under the table. María Rojo's popularity increased with this film and supported her on her way to become one of the most successful and popular actresses in Mexico. For her appearance in the homework she is attested to have a special eroticism, although she is not a classic beauty. José Alonso received the Premio Ariel for best leading actor for his acting performance . At the 1991 Moscow International Film Festival , the film was also given a Special Mention . In 1992, La tarea prohibita, a sequel to this film, was shot, but it was not able to build on the success.
