Die Landeier are a mood and carnival band from Harsewinkel in East Westphalia . The band consists of five musicians and singers who sing in High and Low German .

history

In the rehearsal room of the Harsewinkler rock band Naked Truth , the idea was born on October 20, 2000 to take part in the Foolish Hit Parade on WDR . By the application deadline on November 11th, the first title Karneval im Bullenstall had been written and the band had been put together. A few days after the application deadline, I received confirmation that the eggs were allowed to take part in the competition in early 2001. They came to the final, which was held in the Philipshalle in Düsseldorf . The country eggs won first place and were not allowed to participate in the following year 2002, but were allowed to host one of the preliminary rounds in Harsewinkel.

After winning the hit parade, the Landeier appeared in the opening act of the Höhner in April 2002 .

A second participation in the foolish hit parade took place in 2003. The Landeier won the competition as the first band for the second time. Their winning song was called Ick can't do anything . After this success, the Landeier played as the opening act for the Bläck Fööss . At the hit competition of the Bund Westphalian Carnival in July 2003 they won first place.

Die Landeier produced further titles, initially at Gerig Musikverlagers, and later on the Papagayo label. The producers were Thomas Brück, who also produced the Höhner, and Klaos Löhmer, who produced Tom Astor and Nicole , among others . This was followed by various appearances in the supporting program of the Närrische Hitparade as well as in the carnival programs of the WDR in the WDR Arkaden .

The band will be active until Carnival weekend 2019 and then split up after 19 years.
