Konstantin Schütz von Holzhausen

Konstantin Schütz von Holzhausen , OSB (born October 28, 1709 in Haßfurt ; † September 23, 1775 ) was a Catholic priest and auxiliary bishop in Fulda and titular bishop of Mennith , Arabia.

He entered the order of the Benedictines and made his religious vows (profession) on November 6, 1729 at the age of 20. Six years later he was ordained a priest of the Benedictine order on September 24, 1735 . 22 years after his ordination he became Pope Benedict XIV. Appointed auxiliary bishop in Fulda and on 6 November 1757 at the age of 48 years from Fulda Prince Bishop Adalbert II. Von Walderdorff , a former dean of the deanery Blankenau , the bishop consecrated. At the same time he became titular bishop of Mennith , Arabia. He died on September 23, 1775 at the age of almost 66 years.

Konstantin Schütz von Holzhausen was a Catholic priest for 40 years, of which almost 18 years were auxiliary bishop in Fulda . In 1757, the year of his episcopal ordination , he was provost of Blankenau until 1758. His further path in life also led him to the Petersberg Propstei. He was one of the two Petersberg provosts of the 18th century who became auxiliary bishops of Fulda. From 1757 to 1775 he resided in the Propstei Petersberg.
