Adalbert von Walderdorff OSB (born August 29, 1697 in Molsberg , † September 17, 1759 on the Johannesberg in Rheingau) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and prince-bishop of Fulda.

Life

In 1723 he was admitted to the chapter of the Fulda Abbey and at the same time was given the management of the former Johannisberg monastery in the Rheingau, acquired by Fulda in 1716, where the castle was built in 1717-23. He was provost in Blankenau from 1735 to 1757. The organ prospectus in the Blankenau monastery church and his coat of arms above the cellar entrance of the former office (inn “Zum Löwen”) at the confluence of the street named after him at the confluence of the street named after him into the Lüdertalstraße in Blankenau reminds of his work there .
