action
On the planet Medora, women rule and lead a life of luxury, while the male population is subjugated and forced to do labor. The planet was catapulted out of its solar system by a cosmic catastrophe and is on its way through space. The population survived in cities below the surface. This is uninhabitable; Men who do not submit are sent up to the criminal services.
As the Medora approaches our solar system on its trajectory, two men, Akam and Schemm, manage to escape to Earth. Akam's owner, Brisba, and Ossrawa, the chief of security, are given the task of following the two and fetching them back at any cost. The retrieval operation turns out to be more difficult than planned, as the two hunters finally take two terrestrial scientists, Richard Smith and Liz Barry, hostage.
Back on Medora, Richard has to do forced labor while his assistant Liz is supposed to enjoy the luxury of the ruling class. Eventually the two exiles agree to return in exchange for the hostages. When the spaceship is attacked on its return flight to Earth by an extraterrestrial power that has been hostile to Medora since memory, the two men prove to be a last-minute rescue for the pacifist women.
