The music - my life (original title: L'Amour de la vie - Artur Rubinstein ) is a French documentary released in 1969 by Gérard Patris and François Reichenbach . The theme of the documentary is the life of the musician Artur Rubinstein . The film was in 1970 with the Oscar as best documentary award. At the Cannes International Film Festival in 1969 , the film was shown out of competition.

Music critic Anthony Tommasini called the film a wonderful documentary, especially when compared to Steven Soderbergh's portrait of the musician Liberace in Liberace - Too much of a good is wonderful . The lexicon of international films also praises the film and finds it "not only worth seeing for a musically interested audience."
