Martin Lehnert spends his vacation alone without his family for the first time, which also makes the relatives very happy. But he wants to work something and not just lazing around all the time. While reading the newspaper, he comes across an advertisement in which he is desperately looking for seasonal workers for the catering trade on the Baltic Sea. Everything seems to have worked out on site. He is alone and has peace from his family. When his wife Susanne suddenly shows up in the guesthouse on the Baltic Sea, he wonders how she discovered that he answered the ad.

The film was first broadcast on August 4, 1974 in the first program of GDR television . In September 2016 the film was released on DVD by Icestorm as part of the DDR TV Archive series .
