Die PS-Profis - Mehr Power aus dem Pott is a car show with entertainment character produced in Germany and broadcast for the first time in 2009 on DSF and from 2010 Sport1 . The action of the television format consists in the fact that the two protagonists, who are rooted in the Ruhr area - Sidney Hoffmann and Jean Pierre Kraemer - find a certain type of car on the used car market on behalf of a customer and tune it if necessary. Hoffmann and Kraemer are both entrepreneurs in the auto tuning industry.

Moderators

Hoffmann and Kraemer were the owners of the company Five Star Performance GmbH in Dortmund , founded in 2007 , in whose business and workshop rooms the series is filmed. In 2009 they received the order from the former broadcaster DSF (now Sport 1) to prepare a vehicle for a car race. Subsequently, they were offered their own program by a producer from Focus TV . After the pilot was successfully broadcast at Christmas 2009, two seasons were shot in 2010; the first was broadcast from April 14, 2010, initially three times a week, then fortnightly and comprised nine episodes. Two more seasons were planned for 2011 and 2012. According to the company, the program is not based on a script . However, attentive viewers have noticed that vehicles allegedly bought on behalf of customers were still for sale at the dealership presented in the show, e.g. B. a Mercedes SEC in episode 109. Therefore, the suspicion of a given script in which the client roles are also taken over by actors. However, the situation can also be explained to the extent that, for example, the buyer was granted a withdrawal.

On May 2, 2012, the "PS professionals" Hoffmann and Kraemer announced via Facebook that their professional paths would part ways. The last jointly moderated program after the separation was announced was broadcast on Sport 1 on May 23, 2012. Since June 20, 2012 and the first broadcast of episode 47, Jean-Pierre Kraemer has moderated the new season alone. Sidney Hoffmann returned, however, in episode 53, so that the duo act together again. The first new joint episode ran on September 19, 2012 on Sport 1. Now both have their own companies: Sidney Hoffmann: Sidney Industries Dortmund, Jean Pierre Kraemer: JP Performance.

In 2017, Kraemer left the show. The concept of the show has been revised. The focus under the title “PS Profis - In Action” is no longer the search for a suitable used car, but the tuning of spectator vehicles.

Simulcast in an HD version

The program will also be broadcast as a simulcast on Sport 1 HD with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels.
