Sidney Hoffmann

Sidney Hoffmann (born September 2, 1979 in Dortmund ) is a German presenter and entrepreneur . He became known through the documentary soap Die PS-Profis - Mehr Power aus dem Pott, which was broadcast on Sport1 from 2009 to 2019 .

Hoffmann first gained experience with tuning at the age of 16 on his “ Suzuki Gamma ” motorcycle. Since he was quite talented, he also did the same on the vehicles of some friends. Hoffmann studied mechanical engineering without completing his degree. He financed his studies by repairing accident vehicles.

In 2007 he founded together with Jean Pierre Kraemer that Five Star Performance GmbH in Dortmund. In 2009 they got their own documentary soap Die PS-Profis - More Power from the Pot from DSF (since 2010 Sport1) via a pilot film from Focus TV . The business and workshop rooms of their jointly run workshop served as filming locations. In addition to Die PS-Profis , he also moderated with Kraemer and also Tim Schrick Turbo - Das Automagazin . From May and September 2012 Hoffmann took a break from Die PS-Profis , during which time he opened his own workshop. Hoffmann is the managing director of the Sidney Industries auto tuning workshop in Dortmund, which was founded in 2012 . Sidney Hoffmann lived from 2013 to 2018 in a relationship with Leonie Theresa Hagmeyer-Reyinger, better known as Leo Theresa - Miss Tuning 2013. The two moderated Die PS-Profis several times . The new woman at his side has been Lea Rosenboom since the beginning of 2019 . Rosenboom regularly moderates the Saturday morning program in Hanover on the private broadcaster Antenne Niedersachsen and the regional magazine Sat.1 NRW in Dortmund. Both have lived here since March 2019.

Hoffmann took part in the 2015 Wok World Cup together with Kraemer .

On December 16, 2012, Hoffmann opened the Sidney Industries YouTube channel . The channel had around 200,000 subscribers and around 35,000,000 video views in February 2018. Hoffmann thematically deals with both the automotive sector and the modification of motor vehicles on this channel.

Sidney Hoffmann and his company left Hannoversche Strasse in Dortmund on January 2, 2018. His other companies also moved out, including his fan shop and marketing department. The company was initially left without a new headquarters; it was not yet clear whether it should continue with or without a workshop. According to his statement at the time, he needed a break in research and wanted to calmly consider how to proceed. According to the commercial register, the company has had a new managing director since January 18, 2018. On May 9, 2018, Hoffmann announced that the company and all other companies in which he has a stake had moved into a new building at Brandschachtstrasse 14 in Dortmund.
