The second generation of the 2.5-liter gasoline engine with turbocharger and a modified output of a maximum of 270 kW (367 hp) is also used as the engine. The S tronic seven-speed dual clutch transmission and quattro all-wheel drive with Haldex clutch are used as standard .
The market launch was on June 12, 2015. With the redesign of the A3 in May 2016, the RS3 Sportback disappeared from the market for the time being. Audi only presented the facelift at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017.
Audi presented the RS3 as a four-door sedan at the Paris Motor Show in autumn 2016. The 2.5-liter gasoline engine continues to be used; like in the TT RS , it now produces a maximum of 294 kW (400 hp). This accelerates the sedan to 100 km / h in 4.1 seconds. In August 2017, the vehicle went on sale together with the revised Sportback.
