Today there are five editions that are produced in the respective state studios for the states of Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein , Lower Saxony and Bremen , Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse , Bavaria and for North Rhine-Westphalia . In the countries without their own regional program and in the main broadcast signal via satellite, an older series episode is broadcast during broadcast time.

The magazines show the latest news from politics, business, sport and science, as well as lifestyle and boulevard topics.

History of the regional programs on Sat.1

With the granting of terrestrial transmission frequencies to the newly created private channels in most countries, the support was connected to a regional magazine broadcast for the respective country (analogous to the regional news broadcasts, which at that time in the early evening of the First aired). These regional magazines, which were created at that time, are produced in the form of window programs with an independent license by various production companies.

The magazines initially had different names such as B. We in the north or Bavaria currently , but got the uniform name SAT.1 Regional Report in the course of the 1990s . The regional windows were initially broadcast at 5:45 p.m., but in 1994 they were moved to today's broadcasting slot at 5:30 p.m. as part of a harmonization with the RTL regional windows. While a series was initially broadcast via satellite and in areas without a regional program, there was a national national magazine at this point from the mid-1990s to 2007. The program name of the regional programs was changed over time to 17:30 live and further to today's 17:30 Sat.1 .

reception

The regional magazines can be received in the corresponding broadcasting areas via cable connection and DVB-T2 as part of the Sat.1 program. All five variants are available across Europe via satellite - but only in SDTV .

In Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein as well as in Lower Saxony and Bremen, the broadcast is also available via live stream on the Internet.

The program version for Bavaria is fed into the Vodafone Kabel Deutschland network in Riesbürg , Baden-Württemberg , although no regional Sat.1 magazine is responsible there.

In the networks of Vodafone Kabel Deutschland in Großkrotzenburg in Hesse and in Lügde in North Rhine-Westphalia , only the program versions for Bavaria, Lower Saxony and Bremen are fed.

Only the program version for North Rhine-Westphalia is fed into the Unitymedia network in the Rhineland-Palatinate towns of Mudersbach and Niederfischbach .
