Wilfried Köpke (born March 9, 1962 in Bonn ) is a German radio and television journalist , book author and university lecturer .

Life

After graduating from Ernst-Kalkuhl-Gymnasium in Bonn in 1981, Köpke studied philosophy, adult education, curating, theology and journalism in Munich ( University of Philosophy ), Frankfurt am Main ( Philosophical-Theological University Sankt Georgen ), Hanover ( University of Music and Theater Hannover - Institute for Journalism and Communication Research ) and Berlin ( UdK) . After several positions in radio and television (including SAT.1), he works as a freelance television journalist, primarily in the longer formats of feature and documentation (e.g. for ARD or ARTE ) and author ( DIE ZEIT ), and since 1996 as a lecturer a . a. at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media in the field of television and radio journalism. His radio and television productions have received several awards. Köpke conducted the last interview with the former President of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, Paul Spiegel , shortly before his death. From 2001 to 2002 he represented the professorship for electronic media at the Hanover University of Applied Sciences in the information technology department. Since 2004 Köpke has been Professor of Journalism (focus on culture and television) at the University of Hanover . He represents a narrative journalism . In 2008 he started the master's program in television journalism. From 2012 to 2015 he was dean of the faculty for media, information and design at the University of Hanover.
