The used car professionals: New shine for old boxes (original title Wheeler Dealers ) is a British television program on the Discovery Channel . It is moderated by Mike Brewer and a mechanic. From season 1 to 13 this was Edward "Edd" China , from season 14 it is Ant Anstead . In the workshop, China was supported by Paul Brackley and Phil Morton. In each episode, the moderators have the task of repairing and improving old cars with a more or less fixed budget. In the first six seasons, a car was restored over two episodes and sold at the end; since the seventh season, the restoration has been carried out in one episode, which now takes 60 minutes instead of the previous 30 minutes.

The series first aired in 2003. The fifth season was called "Wheeler Dealers on the Road" in England, as Mike and Edd expanded their search for classic automobiles to all of Europe in these episodes . Furthermore, vehicles are sometimes sought outside of Europe. For example, the first part of the 12th season and the entire 13th season took place in the USA .

In Germany, the television series was first broadcast on April 22, 2009 on DMAX .
