The source (original title: 在一起 的 時光, German: time together ) is a 49 minute long Chinese documentary from 2002 . Directed by Sha Qing. Arte broadcast it on April 8, 2006. In 2004 the film was shown at the Visions du Réel festival .

The film depicts the fate of a young boy in a poor Chinese farming family who suffers from infantile cerebral palsy and dies.

During various film scenes you can see a ticking clock that stops exactly at the moment when the boy dies.
