The party Die Reformer (short name: REFORMER ) is a small German party .
The Reformer was founded in Trier at the end of July 2015 on the initiative of the railway official and former CDU member Erich Schuster (* 1941 in Trier) as a federal party. The original regional association in Rhineland-Palatinate with its headquarters in Erich Schuster's place of residence was followed by the establishment of the Saarland regional association on September 3, 2016 in Saarbrücken-Burbach . The first regional association chairman of the Saarland reformers was Emanuel Steigerwald. He was followed in 2017 by Ralf Berberich from Kirkel .
The party first appeared in the 2017 state elections in Saarland , where it achieved 0.2% of the valid votes.
