The show with the elephant (subtitle: laughing and non-fiction stories for TV beginners ) has been an offshoot of the show with the mouse since September 10, 2007 . The program has been developed to do justice to the interests and level of development of three to six year old children.

construction

An episode lasts about 25 minutes. The components designed for the needs of TV beginners are entirely in keeping with the Maus tradition. The little blue elephant got a new playmate on the show, a pink rabbit. Individual episodes of the British cartoon series Peppa Pig in English are intended to introduce young viewers to a new language.

Tanja Mairhofer and André Gatzke lead the show . Robert Metcalf , who sings children's songs and accompanies himself on the guitar , and Anke Engelke as Anke , who lives in a painted world and often finds herself in illogical or contradicting situations, have regular appearances .

history

Over 340 episodes have been broadcast so far, as well as a special episode at Easter and two at Christmas . In 2009 the episode Kunst und Co. (written and directed by Renate Bleichenbach, Leona Frommelt) received the Golden Spatz award in the entertainment category .

Since March 2010, KiKA has started broadcasting newly produced episodes, beginning with episode 146 on March 22, 2010 and the last episode 165 on July 16, 2010. Since July 19, 2010, old episodes have been broadcast again.
