The Christmas goose Auguste is a puppet cartoon by DEFA - Studio für Trickfilme Dresden-Gorbitz from 1984/85 (start date: December 19, 1985) and is based on the story of the same name by Friedrich Wolf .

Kammersänger Löwenhaupt buys a live goose for the upcoming Christmas party, which is supposed to make a good roast. However, the family befriends the goose, "Auguste". Nobody wants to slaughter or even eat the animal. The Kammersänger also fails and Auguste stays in the family and becomes a playmate for the children.
