The Twins (Comedy)
The twins are a Swiss comedy duo consisting of identical twin brothers . On stage they represent different genres such as stand-up comedy or situational farce . The theme of twins is often the focus of their performances. The two brothers are also actors in front of the camera.

Life
The two brothers are originally trained dipl. Paramedic HF. Matthias Portmann later joined the police , where he still works as a criminal investigator with the Zurich cantonal police . After working in the rescue service, Roland Portmann worked for a few years at the private radio station Radio 24 before joining the communications department of the largest Swiss rescue organization, Schutz & Rettung Zürich . Most recently, Roland Portmann was head of communications and media at Schutz & Rettung Zürich. In May 2019 he left the blue light organization to devote more time to the comedy duo. In addition to comedy, Roland Portmann works as a freelance communications consultant.
Career
The twins have been on stage together since 2015 . The two family fathers gained stage experience with appearances at public events, private and company occasions.
The two achieved their first success across Switzerland in January 2019. They prevailed against eleven other comedians and won the final of the Comedy Club Awards in the Swiss touring theater Das Zelt .
Until the end of 2019 Die Zwillinge will be traveling across Switzerland together with Claudio Zuccolini , Dominic Deville and Stéphanie Berger in the Comedy Club of Das Zelt.
In December 2019, the two announced that they would go on tour with their first full-length stage program from autumn 2020.
Others
Matthias & Roland Portmann are also members of the board of directors of Hürlimann Bier AG, of which Beat Schlatter is chairman .
