Diego Scotti , full name Diego Martín Scotti Ponce de León , (born January 14, 1977 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

The 1.81 meter tall midfielder Scotti is the brother of football player Andrés Scotti . He was in the ranks of Nacional Montevideo at the beginning of his career from 1999 to 2000 . Last year the club won the Uruguayan championship. From 2001 to 2002 he played for the Argentine club Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata . Also in 2002 he was active for the Chinese club Tianjin Teda . In 2003 he was again a player at Nacional Montevideos. From 2004 to mid-2005 he was back on the squad of Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata. During this period there are at least seven league games and one goal for him. He then moved to Paraguay for Club Olimpia , where he stayed until mid-2006. In the Apertura he then played 15 games (no goal) in the Primera División for the Montevideo Wanderers . In 2007, the Chilean club Audax Italiano was his employer. In the first half of 2008 he ran in 14 league matches (no goal) for Newell's Old Boys . In mid-2008, the Racing Club de Montevideo signed him . In the 2008/09 season he scored a league goal and was used once (no goal) in the 2010 Copa Libertadores . During the following season 2009/10 he was used in 15 top division games. He didn't score a goal. From the beginning of February 2010 he continued his career in Spain with FC Córdoba . By the middle of the year he had played 19 matches without a personal goal in the Segunda División . In the 2010/11 season he completed twelve league games and scored four goals as part of a commitment to the Uruguayan first division club Miramar Misiones . At the end of December 2011, he moved to Chile to Unión Española . Across the seasons he met the Chileans eleven times in 127 league appearances in the opposing goal. He also played 16 games (one goal) in the Copa Chile and 15 games (no goal) in the Copa Libertadores . In 2013 he became champion with the club of Chilean and won the Super Cup . In the 2015/16 season he played again for the Montevideo Wanderers. Three goals in 27 premier league appearances are made for him at this career station. He has been under contract with Boston River since mid-July 2016 . During the 2016 season he was used 15 times (no goal) in the top Uruguayan league.
