Diego Zilio (born July 23, 1989 in Garibaldi ) is a Brazilian soccer player . He is used in the central midfield.
Career
In his youth he played for the Brazilian clubs EC Juventude , Esporte Clube Guarani , SER Caxias do Sul and Goiás EC . In the beginning of his further career he played in Portugal until the summer of 2010 with AC Alcanenense . He then moved to the B team of Marítimo Funchal in Madeira . There he was active for one season and in the following summer 2011 he moved to Germany , where he joined the Itzehoer SV in Schleswig-Holstein . Another season later he moved to Lower Saxony to TSV Ottersberg , for which he was active in the Lower Saxony Oberliga and contributed ten goals in 30 games.
He then moved back to Portugal and again joined AC Alcanenense for one season . By the end of 2014, he played for CD Santa Clara for the first time in his career in a total of two games in the Portuguese second division . The first was at home on August 9, 2014 in a 1-1 draw against Clube Oriental Lisbon , in which he was on the starting line-up as the left winger. His last appearance was on November 30, 2014 against his former club Marítimo Funchal; Santa Clara won the game 2-0. Here he was also in the starting line-up. The next year he played for União Leiria until the summer and then went to GS Loures for the next six months. From 2016 to the summer of 2018 he played for SC União Torreense . He has been active for DG Peniche since the 2018/19 season .
