Dieter Heckeroth (born July 4, 1939 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a former German football referee .

Career

Heckeroth, who came from Frankfurt am Main , led games in the football league from 1961 to 1963 , which was then the highest class in German club football. From 1968 to 1973 he headed a total of 26 Bundesliga games in which he recognized penalties ten times and pronounced three dismissals. He made his debut in the Bundesliga on March 15, 1969 in the game between Alemannia Aachen and 1. FC Kaiserslautern .

Between 1964 and 1972, Heckeroth whistled a game in the DFB Cup every year .

In 2014 he was honored for his many years of service as part of the 100th birthday of the German Referees Association.
