Dieter Röh

Dieter Röh (* 1971 ) is a German social work scientist and health scientist who currently holds a professorship for social work science at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences .

Career

Röh studied after high school and community service and a preliminary internship in the child and adolescent psychiatry in Hesterberg (Schleswig), initially from 1992 to 1996 in the field of social affairs at the University of Applied Sciences in East Friesland and graduated as a qualified social worker / social pedagogue with state recognition.

Until 2003 he worked in the social psychiatric field and in assistance for the disabled. a. in the social psychiatric service (internship), in a day care center for mentally ill people and in a workshop for disabled people. From 2000 to 2003 he studied practice-oriented interdisciplinary health science at the Ostfriesland University of Applied Sciences and obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree .

From 2003 to 2005 he was a research associate in the research focus “Development of models and standards of integrated care in the field of rehabilitation of people with motor disorders”, sub-area: “Accompanying research and evaluation”.

In 2005 he was awarded a Dr. phil at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg , Faculty IV (Human and Social Sciences - Institute for Psychology) with Peter Gottwald on the subject of "Empowerment for coping with life - an integrated concept for working with chronically mentally ill people".

Since 2005 he has been a professor of social work science, specializing in history, philosophical foundations, theories and methods of social work. In teaching, counseling, advanced and advanced training as well as research, he deals with topics relating to disabled people , social psychiatry , rehabilitation and clinical social work .
