Dieter Schurr (born December 2, 1941 ) is a former German soccer player . From 1964 to 1972, the midfielder played a total of 198 games for the clubs Stuttgarter Kickers (1964 to 1969) and SpVgg Ludwigsburg (1971/72) in the then second -rate regional soccer league , scoring 23 goals. At Racing Strasbourg he has 56 appearances with seven goals in Ligue 1 from 1969 to 1971 in the French first class.

Career

Dieter Schurr played as a soccer player for FV Faurndau in his youth , before moving to the second division club Stuttgarter Kickers for the 1964/65 season via the stations at SV Göppingen and 1. FC Eislingen from the 1st amateur league in Northern Württemberg . There the ball distributor and combination player played 165 games for the Kickers in the Regionalliga Süd and scored 19 goals. In the club news of the Kickers, from the season 1968/69 it is described that soulful and precise play is a particular strength of the "motor" Dieter Schurr. He made his debut on the start day of the 1964/65 round, August 9, 1964, in a 2-0 home win against Freiburg FC in the Regionalliga. He played in Kickers midfield alongside Pál Csernai . Outstanding for the former amateur footballer in his first season in the Regionalliga were the two matches against the champions and newly promoted FC Bayern Munich: On September 2, 1964, FC Bayern won the home game 2-0, on January 3, 1965 the away game 6 : 1 for the "blues" of Degerlochs heights. The protégés of coach Hans Eberle had no antidote at their disposal against the Bayern offensive with Rudolf Nafziger , Rainer Ohlhauser , Gerd Müller , Dieter Koulmann and Dieter Brenninger .

When Georg Wurzer took over as coach at Kickers in the 1966/67 season , the “blues” played seriously for promotion to the Bundesliga in the south. But it was only enough for 4th place three times and Schurr accepted the offer from Racing Strasbourg from the 1st French league for the 1969/70 season and moved to France. In two rounds, 1969/70 and 1970/71, he completed 56 league games in Alsace for the blue-whites from the Stade de la Meinau and scored seven goals. In his first season, 1969/70 , he finished 5th with teammates like Johnny Schuth (goalkeeper), Wolfgang Kaniber , Philippe Piat , Jean-Noel Huck and Marc Molitor . Schurr had scored two goals in 33 league appearances. Coach Paul Frantz's team (until October 1970; April 1971 until the end of the season) was relegated from Ligue 1 after the 1970/71 round and Schurr returned to the Stuttgart area after two seasons in France's top division and played 1971/72 for one season with SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg , again in the Regionalliga Süd.

With Ludwigsburg, Schurr reached the 15th place with players like Peter Jann (goalkeeper), Rainer Lippert , Hans Hägele , Dieter Dollmann , Wolfgang Kubik and with the coaches Kurt Baluses and Gunther Baumann , who at the end of the round represented Baluses who died on March 28, 1972. Rank. He had scored four goals in 33 appearances.

He ended his career with FV 04 Würzburg in Bavarian amateur football.
