Dieter Stinka (born August 10, 1937 in Allenstein ) is a former German football player and coach.

Player career

Until his move to Eintracht Frankfurt in 1958, he played for 1. FC Gelnhausen . With Eintracht he became German champion in 1959, reached the final of the European Cup in 1960 and played the first three seasons of the Bundesliga, founded in 1963 . Stinka, a post office worker by profession, was a tireless long-runner in the midfield of Eintracht. By the two runners-up in the Oberliga Süd in 1961 and 1962, he played a total of 16 final round matches.

After he was only used four times in the 1965/66 season, he moved to SV Darmstadt 98 , for which he played until 1968. Then he ended his active career.

National team

On October 3, 1959, he was appointed to the B national team in Konstanz in the game against Switzerland . With Willi Schulz and Ferdinand Wenauer he formed the runner row . National coach Sepp Herberger called the left runner of Eintracht three times into the squad of the senior national team: for the international matches on March 8, 1961 in Frankfurt against Belgium, on May 10, 1961 in Berlin against Northern Ireland (World Cup qualifier) ​​and on September 20 1961 in Düsseldorf against Denmark.
