Dieter W. Angrick

Dieter W. Angrick (born October 17, 1935 in Danzig ) is a German journalist . He became known through his decades of work at the Norddeutsche Zeitung in Schwerin as editor of the regional weekly supplement Norddeutscher Leuchtturm .

Life

After being expelled from Danzig, Dieter W. Angrick and his parents reached Schwerin in Mecklenburg on September 1, 1945 via several intermediate stops . Angrick finished his school days in 1955 with the Abitur at the Goethe-Schule am Pfaffenteich . On September 1, 1955, Angrick began a traineeship at the Norddeutsche Zeitung in Schwerin, initially becoming an editorial assistant, then assistant editor and finally in 1961 as editor. Since 1952, the paper was the only newspaper in Mecklenburg to have a regional and Low German (cultural) supplement, the "North German Lighthouse", which Angrick took over and kept until the newspaper was closed on August 31, 1991. During this time around 1,800 lighthouse issues were created under his leadership, to which Angrick contributed more than 6,500 of his own contributions. The appearance of the North German Lighthouse ended with issue number 2002. Another 48 issues, this time under the shortened title “Lighthouse”, appeared between November 8, 1991 and February 19, 1993 as a supplement to the first independent weekly newspaper published by Regine Marquardt in Schwerin the GDR, the "Mecklenburg Awakening", and Angrick was also responsible.

In 1993 (Issues 1 to 4) Angrick was an editorial member of the “Heimathefte für Mecklenburg-Vorpommern” of the state home association MV. From 1993 (Issue 1) to 1995 (Issue 3) he was the editor of the " Studienhefte zur Mecklenburgischen Kirchengeschichte ", in May 1994 co-founder and editor of the Schwerin weekly newspaper "Der Reiter", which ceased its publication in August 2000. Angrick then took over the external editing for various North German publishers.
