geography
The living space is south of the Eberich forest on the banks of the Gerbach , which flows into the Rotach at the Aumühle . The Dietlesmühle is located at an altitude of 466 m above sea level. NN and is about two and a half kilometers from the southwestern Ellenberg.
history
The first documentary mention of the Dietlesmühle took place in 1481 under the name Dietterstetten , in another mention the place is referred to as Diettlensmuhlen in 1624 . In 1663 the village , which had previously belonged to the hospital of the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl, became the property of the prince provost of Ellwangen , with whom it remained until the end of the Holy Roman Empire . With the secularization of the priesthood in 1802, the Dietlesmühle was forcibly taken over by the Kingdom of Württemberg and then belonged to the newly created Oberamt Ellwangen . As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Württemberg at the beginning of the 19th century , it became part of the independent rural community of Ellenberg, which also included 18 other localities.
