Dietrich Johann von der Heyden called Rynsch (* 1666 ; † March 23, 1729 in Küstrin ) was a royal Prussian major general, governor of the fortress Küstrin and Drost von Raden near Minden .

His parents were the Drost von Hamm Elbert von der Heyden called Rynsch († 1672) and his wife Katharine von Spaen († February 15, 1694), daughter of Wolter von Spaen on Kreuzfurth (Cruitzwick) and Agenes Schimmelpennig from Oye . His mother was the sister of Field Marshal Alexander von Spaen . His sister Christina Agnes (* 1654) was married to Lieutenant General Johann Christoph von Goetze from Brandenburg .

In 1681 he entered service in Brandenburg and became a colonel on March 7, 1721. In 1715 he became commander of the body regiment of King Friedrich Wilhelm I. Shortly thereafter, he was promoted to major general. In 1721 he was first appointed commandant and in 1722 governor of Küstrin. He commanded a battalion of invalid companies in Küstrin and in the fortress Peitz .
