Dietrich Stael (Canon, 1496)

Dietrich Stael (* around 1418 ; † January 12, 1496 ) was canon in Münster .

Life

Dietrich Stael came from the Rhenish - Westphalian knight family Stael and was the son of Konrad (Cord) Stael zu Loburg (1385–1446, knight and bailiff of Sassenberg) and his wife Kunigunde von Bevern. His brother Johann was canon in Münster, as was his nephew Wilhelm . In 1450, Dietrich is mentioned in a document as a canon of Münster. In 1494 it was owned by the Archdeaconate Warendorf and the following year the owner of the Obedience of Senden . His brother, the squire Rotger († 1503) was married to Agnes von Schade zu Ihorst . They were the parents of Canon Wilbrand Stael .
