Dijan Petkow Dimov ( Bulgarian Диян Петков Димов , also Diyan Petkov Dimov ; born August 4, 1967 in Burgas , Bulgaria ) is a Bulgarian football coach and former football player . Currently (2012) he works as a football scout for FC Chernomorets Burgas .

Career

Dijan Petkov started his career in the youth team of Neftochimik Burgas . At the age of 16 he played his first game for the first team of his home club. In 1988 he moved to the second traditional Burgas club, FC Chernomorez Burgas . From 1993 he played for the Plovdiv and from 1994 for the Sofia Railway Club. Dijan Petkow has a total of 268 games and 64 goals in the highest Bulgarian league, the A Grupa .

He was Bulgarian runner-up and cup winner with Lokomotive Plovdiv. In 2009 he was the coach of the first division club OFK Sliven 2000 . Previously, he was a coach at FK Pomorie , FC Chernomorez Burgas and Naftex Burgas . Between the end of 2010 and October 2011, Petkow was the coach of the Sofia club Lokomotiv Sofia when his contract was terminated after a series of defeats. During this time he led the club in the Europa League .
