Dimče Belovski

Dimče Belovski ( Macedonian Димче Беловски ; born October 25, 1923 in Štip ; † June 18, 2010 in Skopje ) was a Yugoslav diplomat.

life and career

He was a fighter for the Yugoslav People's Liberation Army and a participant in the first session of the Anti-Fascist Council for the People's Liberation of Macedonia . Furthermore, Belovski was one of the directors of the Macedonian- language newspaper Nova Makedonija, founded by the partisans in 1944 .

From 1961 to 1965 he was Yugoslav Ambassador to Canada and from 1976 to 1979 Belovski was Ambassador to the United States . In addition, he held various political offices, including as a member of the government of the SR Macedonia , as Deputy Foreign Minister of Yugoslavia from 1965 to 1969, and as a member of the Central Committee (1974–1978) and the Presidium (1982–1986) of the Yugoslav Communist League .
