Dmitri Vladimirovich Karlov

Dmitri Wladimirowitsch Karlow ( Russian Дмитрий Владимирович Карлов ; born January 29, 1967 ) is a former Russian handball player .

Karlow played for the Russian national handball team and won the world championship title at the men's handball world championship in 1993 . The following year he was part of the Russian selection, which took the silver medal rank at the European championships held in Portugal . In March 1993, the backcourt player announced his move to the then German regional division Wuppertaler SV. Further stations of the 1.92-meter-tall qualified sports teacher were Krasnodar, the Spanish club Alkala and VfL Bad Schwartau , which he left at the beginning of the 2000/01 season in favor of the then southern second division HG Erlangen . From October 2000 he was under contract with Eintracht Hildesheim . By this time he had completed 72 international matches for his home country. He later played for SKIF Krasnodar .

His son Igor also plays handball.
