Dimitris Manikas

Dimitris Manikas (* 1938 in Syros , Greece) is a Greek-Austrian architect.

Live and act

Dimitris Manikas studied from 1959 to 1967 at the Technical University of Vienna . From 1967 to 1976 he worked for Wilhelm Holzbauer . From 1977 to 2001 he worked as a lecturer or assistant professor at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Since 1977 he has been working as a freelance architect in Vienna.

The architecture of Dimitris Manikas follows the principle that the most simple, the most natural and also the most possible. This archaic design principle is related to the country of birth of the Viennese by choice.
