Dina Miftachutdynova

Dina Arturiwna Miftachutdynowa ( Ukrainian Діна Артурівна Міфтахутдинова ; born November 2, 1973 ) is a former Ukrainian rower who won an Olympic silver medal in 1996.

Athletic career

At the 1994 World Championships in Indianapolis, the Ukrainian double scull with Switlana Masij , Dina Miftachutdynowa, Olena Ronschyna and Tetjana Ustyuschanina came third behind the Germans and the Chinese. The following year, the Ukrainian double foursome finished tenth at the World Championships in Tampere . At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta Switlana Masij, Dina Miftachutdynowa, Inna Frolowa and Olena Ronschyna won the silver medal behind the German boat.

In 1997 the World Championships took place on Lac d'Aiguebelette. The Ukrainian double foursome in the same line-up as in 1996 received the bronze medal behind the Germans and the Danes. In 1998 Miftachutdynowa rowed in the Rowing World Cup together with Olena Ronschyna in the double scull , the two of them took second place in Munich. At the World Championships in Cologne, Miftachutdynowa competed in a double scull and took seventh place. In 1999 Miftachutdynowa won with the double scull at the World Cup opener in Hazewinkel, at the 1999 World Championships she was not at the start. In the 2000 Olympic season, however, she returned to the double fours. Together with Tetjana Ustyuschanina, Switlana Masij and Olena Morosowa-Ronshyna, she finished fourth at the Olympic Games in Sydney, four seconds behind the Russian bronze medalists.

The 1.81 m tall Dina Miftachutdynowa rowed for Ukraina Dnipropetrovsk .
