The Sudan participated in the 1972 Summer Olympics in German Munich with a delegation of 26 male athletes in 15 sports competitions in four part. It was Sudan's third participation in the Summer Olympics . The youngest athlete was the athlete Shag Musa Medani at 23 years and 319 days , and the oldest athlete was the football player Nasr El-Din Abbas (28 years and 15 days).
