Dionysis Chiotis ( Greek Διονύσης Χιώτης , born June 4, 1977 in Athens ) is a Greek football goalkeeper . Since 2008 he has been playing in the First Division for the top Cypriot club APOEL Nicosia .

Chiotis was ten years with AEK Athens under contract, including in the years 1998-1999 to the neighboring club Ethnikos Piraeus and 1999-2000 to AO Proodeftiki in Korydallos also in the Piraeus region , since he had to stand behind the Italian Stefano Sorrentino . In 2002 he won the Greek Football Cup with AEK .

In May 2007, Chiotis signed up for a year at AO Kerkyra in Corfu . This was followed by his successful time in Cyprus with APOEL Nicosia with two championships in 2009 and 2011 . His greatest success in the Champions League was probably reaching the quarter-finals against Real Madrid in 2012 , when he kept a 0-0 in the first leg in Nicosia until shortly before the end before Karim Benzema (2 ×) and Kaká den 3-0. Chiotis was used once for the Greek national team , on November 20, 2002 in a 0-0 draw in the second half against Ireland .
