Diribe dogs

Diribe Dogs (also written Derebe Hundie ; * 1984 ) is an Ethiopian marathon runner .

In 2001 she won the Addis Ababa City Municipal Marathon. In 2002 she was eleventh in the Paris Marathon , in 2003 she was third in the Maratona di Sant'Antonio and in the Reims Marathon in her personal best of 2:37:40 h and in 2004 fourth in the Athens Marathon . The following year she won the Dubai Marathon in 2:39:08.

A year later, she had a mishap in Dubai. She and her two colleagues, who finished 3rd to 5th at km 31, got off course, took a detour of several kilometers and were overtaken by a competitor in the meantime. After 3:12:40 h, dogs finally crossed the finish line in sixth place.

Diribe Dogs is from Oromiyaa Province and currently lives in the Bronx . Her sister-in-law Abeba Tolla is also a marathon runner.
