Dirk Luther
Dirk Luther (born April 27, 1970 in Hamburg ) is a German chef .
Career
Luther was employed in the Anglo-German Club from 1990 to 1991 and in the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten , both in Hamburg, from 1991 to 1992 . From 1992 to 1993 he was in the Patrizierhof restaurant in Wolfratshausen , after which he moved to the Deichgraf restaurant for two years. He then spent four years at the Hamburg Hotel Louis C. Jacob , interrupted by a stop at the Hotel La Côte Saint-Jacques in Burgundy in 1998. From 2000 to 2006 he was head chef at the Seehotel Töpferhaus, Alt Duvenstedt. In 2006 he moved to the “Meierei” restaurant in the Hotel Alter “Meierhof” in Meierwik near Glücksburg (Baltic Sea) . He has also been the hotel manager since 2014.
Awards
Dirk Luther received a second star in the Michelin Guide for the first time in 2004 at the Seehotel Töpferhaus, Alt Duvenstedt. In 2005 this award was confirmed. In August 2008 the magazine Der Feinschmecker named Dirk Luther “Chef of the Month”.
Under Luther's management, the “Meierei” in Glücksburg immediately received a star in the Michelin Guide in the rating for 2007 as well as 17 points in the Gault-Millau restaurant guide . The restaurant has been consistently rated with two stars in the Michelin Guide since 2008.
In 2011, Dirk Luther's “Meierei” in the Alten Meierhof Glücksburg was awarded the Carlsberg Prize as the best hotel restaurant. In 2012 Dirk Luther received the highest rating of 10 pans for the first time from the restaurant guide Gusto . Since 2004, Dirk Luther has also been a regular TV cook for the Schleswig-Holstein magazine of the NDR .
