Dirk Schlömer (born March 17, 1965 in Cologne ) is a German SPD politician and was a member of the state parliament in North Rhine-Westphalia from 2012 to 2017 .

Schlömer joined the Deutsche Bundesbahn in 1982 as a civil servant in the middle service in Cologne, where he is also involved in their union, the GdED and later the EVG . In 1992 he became a full-time trade unionist and trade union secretary , initially for Cologne and later nationwide. In 1999 he moved to Frankfurt am Main , where he was the branch secretary responsible for regional transport. Most recently, he was Head of Passenger Transport, Youth and Vocational Training and the West Region.

Schlömer has been a member of the SPD since 1992, where he was initially involved in the SPD railway operating group. From 1994 to 1999 he was its chairman in Cologne and a member of its central committee, after which he supported the central committee as an advisory member. In the state elections in 2010 , Schlömer ran for the state parliament for the first time without success. In 2012 he was directly elected to the state parliament in the constituency of Rhein-Sieg-Kreis I with a narrow majority. In the state parliament, Schlömer was a full member of the main committee and the committee for Europe and One World. Schlömers concept of the "mobile citizen's office", with which he was traveling in his large constituency, received national attention. It was a small caravan that stopped at the marketplaces for citizens' consultations. In the state elections in 2017 , Schlömer was clearly beaten in the constituency by the CDU applicant. He was also unable to return to the SPD's state list and left the state parliament.

Schlömer also volunteers in local politics as a member of the planning and transport committee of the Rhein-Sieg district and as an expert citizen of the SPD in Hennef.

Schlömer lives with his wife and daughter in Hennef - Weldergoven .
