Dirk Seiger

Dirk Seiger (* 1980 in Lippstadt ) is a German chef.

Career

Seiger's parents had a home-style inn. After his apprenticeship with Jens Bomke in Wadersloh (one Michelin star ), he worked as a sous chef with Elmar Simon in the Balthasar restaurant in Paderborn . In 2008 he became sous chef in the Buddenbrooks restaurant at Christian Scharrer's in Travemünde (two Michelin stars).

In 2012 he was head chef in the Schlossweinstube in Heidelberg , which was awarded a Michelin star in the same year .

In April 2014 Seiger returned to the Buddenbrooks restaurant in Travemünde as head chef , which has since been awarded a Michelin star.

At the end of February 2019 the Buddenbrooks closed and Seiger switched to the A-ROSA on Sylt.
