Dirk Vekeman (born September 25, 1960 in Ukkel ; † May 5, 2013 ) was a Belgian football player .

Athletic career

Vekeman came from the youth of RSC Anderlecht , in 1979 he moved up as a substitute goalkeeper for the competition team in the adult division and made his debut between the posts in the championship in May of that year . At first he was in the shadow of Nico de Bree , after whose departure in 1980 Jacky Munaron was the largely undisputed number one of the Belgian top club.
