Diversity is the fifth studio album by Gentleman , released on April 16, 2010 . The album reached number one in the German album charts.

Musically, Gentleman's first major album is somewhere between reggae and pop music . The lyrics are - in addition to love songs - often socially critical and plead for tolerance and cosmopolitanism.

reception

Dani Fromm wanted more variety on Laut.de. Although Gentleman operates lyrically and musically “consistently at a high level”, Gentleman “always sounds like a gentleman”. In terms of content, it shows "from an emphatically soulful, but thoroughly reflective side". It awarded three out of five stars. Gentleman was featured as “Act of the Month” on Yahoo .de. The reviewer called diversity “not all of a piece”, the common thread is missing. Nevertheless, gentlemen do "a great job as ever". At Plattentests.de Mark Read wrote that it was "damn hard not to like the man". He criticized, however, "disgusting Timbaland -Elektro-Beats". The record is also "at least four songs too long". The rating was five out of ten points.
