Million Stylez , real name Kenshin Iryo (born June 1, 1981 in Stockholm ), is a Swedish dancehall singer.

Life

Million Stylez grew up in Sollentuna near Stockholm. His family is originally from Japan or France . At the age of nine he started to get into hip-hop , later he switched from rap to singing and deejaying . Eventually, dancehall and reggae emerged as his musical focus. As his artist name he chose Million Stylez , which corrupts the English Million Styles and stands for musical diversity. In 2005 he took part in the Red Stripe Big Break talent competition initiated by Irie FM in Jamaica , which was associated with some media attention, and came fourth out of 1200 participants.

After that, Million Stylez 'tracks ran with increasing frequency on Scandinavian and Jamaican channels. In March 2006 his most successful single, the dancehall piece Miss Fatty, was released . This climbed to number 27 in the Swedish charts. In Germany, where the Soundquake company took over distribution, it reached number 1 on the reggae charts. In August 2006 Million Stylez released his debut album From A Far on KBC Music on CD and double LP and then went on a European tour. His second album Everyday followed in 2010 .

Million Stylez worked with various artists. Various split singles were created in the process . Among other things, he wore the B-side to the singles One Night Stand / Celebrate (with the Jamaican dancehall formation TOK , 2003), Beat Drop / All We Do (with Mr. Vegas and Alozade, 2006) and Puff Puff Pass / All Night (with Ward 21 , 2006). For Griot's album Strossegold (2006) he wrote and sang the titles Bänger and Gyallis Anthem . In 2012 he brought out the Swedish-language single Själen av en vän with rapper Ken Ring and was able to place himself in the national charts again.
