Dmitri Kim ( Cyrillic Дмитрий Ким; born October 7, 1989 in Tashkent ) is an Uzbek Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 68 kilograms.

Kim played his first international title fights at the 2007 World Championships in Beijing , where he was eliminated early in the class up to 67 kilograms. The following year he started at the 2008 Olympic Games , also in Beijing . After an opening win he lost to Sung Yu-chi in the quarterfinals and finished ninth. At the military world championships in Seoul , Kim won his first international medal with bronze in the same year. At the World Championships in Copenhagen in 2009 and in Gyeongju in 2011 , Kim reached the second round in the class up to 74 kilograms. He celebrated his greatest sporting success so far at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou , where he reached the final in the 74 kg class and won silver. At the Asian Olympic qualification tournament in 2011 in Bangkok , he moved into the final against Mohammad Abu-Libdeh in the class up to 68 kilograms and qualified for his second Olympic Games in London in 2012 .
