Dmitrij Kreis (born September 13,  1988 in Qostanai , Kazakh SSR , Soviet Union ) is a German basketball player .

career

Kreis played in the youth of BIS Baskets Speyer and 1. FC Kaiserslautern , in the 2005/06 season he received his first time in Kaiserslautern's second division team and played for FCK and the successor team Saar-Pfalz Braves until 2010 .

In 2010, the 1.87 meter tall player moved to the Gotha Rockets in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB and was team captain of the Thuringian team from 2011. In spring 2012 he led Gotha as captain to win the championship title in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB, and from then on played with the team in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA .

In 2015, Kreis moved within the 2nd Bundesliga ProB to BG Karlsruhe and went to local rivals PS Karlsruhe for the 2016/17 season , with whom he made it to the 2nd Bundesliga ProA. After the end of the 2017/18 season he left Karlsruhe and joined the BIS Baskets Speyer (Regionalliga). With Speyer he won the championship title in the Regionalliga Südwest in spring 2019.
