Dmytro Russinow ( Ukrainian Дмитро Русінов ; Russian Дмитрий Владимирович Русинов / Dmitri Vladimirovich Russinow *  26 February 1990 in Dedovsk , Moscow Oblast , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a Ukrainian biathlete Russian origin who starts for Ukraine since early-2013.

Dmitri Russinow started at the children's and youth sports school of the Olympic Reserve No. 43 in Moscow with coach Gennady Yegorov with the biathlon. He became Russian junior champion and in 2009 received the honorary title Master of Sports . Before the Biathlon World Championships in 2013 , he won the Russian Biathlon Cup in the sprint and was qualified for the national team. After that, he explained his decision to change citizenship and start for Ukraine. He justified this with the great financing problems in the Moscow Association.

Russinow made his international debut as Dmytro Russinow comparatively late at the age of 23 at the 2013 European Championships in Bansko , where he finished 41st in the sprint, but did not start in the pursuit race despite qualifying. A little later he contested his first races in the World Cup at Holmenkollen in Oslo and was 54 in sprint and pursuit.

Russinov is a graduate of Moscow Pedagogical University and has been studying at the Faculty of Foreign Philology and Social Communication of Sumy State University since 2013.
