Dobrinishte ( Bulgarian Добринище ) is a Bulgarian winter sports resort and health resort in Blagoevgrad Oblast in the Pirin Mountains . Dobrinishte is a good 5 km east of the larger and better known Bansko , to whose municipality it belongs.
The city with 2723 inhabitants (as of the end of 2016) is located at an altitude of 850 m. The parish grounds cover 80 km².
The place, which was already settled in the Neolithic , which had larger minorities of Muslims , Pomaks and Roma during the Ottoman period, has 17 mineral water springs with temperatures between 30 and 43 ° C. The spring water is used to treat various diseases.
The total length of the ski slopes is seven kilometers. The ski area with four different downhill options of medium difficulty between a height of 2500 m (mountain) and 1550 m (valley station) is accessed by a double chair lift .
Dobrinishte is the terminus of the narrow-gauge Rhodope Railway , which not only crosses the Rhodope Mountains but also the Rila Mountains .
