The Dobson Dome is a striking, snow-capped, dome-shaped and 950 m high mountain in the north of the West Antarctic James Ross Island . It rises up between Röhss Bay and Croft Bay .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out surveys between 1958 and 1961. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the mountain in 1964 after Alban Tabor Austin Dobson (1885–1962), from 1949 to 1959 President of the International Whaling Commission and from 1952 to 1955 also President of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES).
