Doha ( Arabic بلدية الدوحة, DMG Baladiyyat ad-Dauḥa ) is one of eight municipalities in Qatar . The capital of the municipality is the city of the same name, Doha . As of the 2015 census, the municipality had a total of 956,457 inhabitants.

The area of ​​Doha covers 234 km². It is located in the eastern part of Qatar by the sea. The municipality borders on al-Wakra to the south, ar-Rayyan to the west and ad-Daʿayan to the north .
