Dolbenmaen is a town and parish in County Gwynedd , Wales , which, like Criccieth, was a center of the former Cantrefs Eifionydd . In 1239 the function as the capital of Cantrefs ended.
In addition to Dolbenmaen, the large municipality includes seven other places and has 1,300 inhabitants (2001 census). The Moel Hebog mountain lies between Dolbenmaen and Beddgelert in the Snowdonia National Park .
