Dolmen de la Table
The 1888 first mentioned Dolmen de la Table (also La Table submerge called) is a Watt of de Baie Bourgneuf , about 3.0 kilometers east of Noirmoutier-en-l'Ile before the Ile de Noirmoutier in the Vendée in France , lying Dolmen . In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds ( see: French nomenclature ). The dolmen is only visible at low tide . It was described by Arsène Charier-Fillon in 1892 and classified as a Monument historique in 1895 .
The capstone that gave the east-west oriented dolmen its name is a quartzite slab about 4.85 m long and 2.75 m wide. It only rests on a bearing stone, the debris at the other end probably comes from the second or third plate.
Other flooded dolmens are the Dolmen of Keroyal near Plougoumelen and the Dolmen de la Boire de Champtocé .
